Our client, a leading stainless-steel manufacturer, needed to appoint three Process Engineers: one junior, one mid-level, and one senior. Candidates were required to hold a BSc/BEng in Metallurgy, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, with 1–5 years’ experience in a similar environment. Skills for these roles were scarce, and previous contingent recruitment attempts had been unsuccessful. They needed a proactive search to identify candidates from similar companies open to a career move, but their budget could not accommodate the typical 25% search fee charged for a retained search assignment.
