Client Challenge
Crown National has a small in-house Talent Acquisition team responsible for managing recruitment across the business. While they were committed to recruiting directly wherever possible, they faced three key challenges.
Firstly, they didn’t have contracts with South Africa’s leading premium job boards, limiting their ability to attract the strongest active candidates. Secondly, with a small Talent Acquisition team, they didn’t have the capacity to advertise, manage large application volumes and thoroughly assess every applicant while continuing to support the rest of the business.
Finally, they recognised the value that contingent recruiters bring through advertising, screening and shortlisting candidates, but didn’t want to pay a traditional percentage-based placement fee every time a candidate was hired.
They were looking for a more flexible and cost-effective alternative.
Ntice Approach
Ntice designed a fixed-fee recruitment solution specifically for roles that were well suited to advertising and likely to attract active career seekers.
We advertised the vacancy across South Africa’s leading premium job boards, managed the candidate response, screened applications, conducted structured telephone and video interviews, and presented a shortlist of the strongest candidates.
Crown National’s Talent Acquisition team remained responsible for the final interview process, selection and hiring decisions.
Result
Crown National gained the benefits of a traditional contingent recruitment process—including wider candidate reach, professional candidate screening and a thoroughly assessed shortlist—without paying a percentage-based placement fee.
Instead, they paid a fixed fee for the recruitment services they required, giving their Talent Acquisition team additional recruitment capacity while retaining complete ownership of the hiring process. The result was a faster, more cost-effective recruitment solution that complemented their internal team rather than replacing it.
