Client Challenge

An IT services provider needed to hire an IT Engineer to support their growing technical environment. As a small business, their HR team simply did not have the time or capacity to manage an advertised selection process and the workload that comes with it.

While they wanted to run an advertising-led hiring campaign to access the broader talent market and avoid a traditional contingent recruitment fee, the reality was that advertising the role would generate a high volume of applications, creating a time-consuming process of CV screening, candidate vetting, interview coordination, and recruitment admin that the team could not absorb.

At the same time, they still wanted the quality hiring outcome and support associated with a contingent recruitment partner, just without the high percentage-based fee.

Ntice Approach

Ntice recommended an IGNITE campaign, our fixed-cost recruitment solution designed to reduce the time and administration burden of hiring, while still delivering a strong hiring outcome.

The role was advertised across leading job boards to attract relevant technical talent, with Ntice managing the heavy lifting on the client’s behalf, significantly reducing the time their HR team needed to spend on admin heavy parts of the hiring process.

From 106 applications received, only 6 highly relevant candidates were shortlisted and submitted to the client, with 4 progressing to interview.

Rather than reviewing a large volume of applications, the client’s HR team was able to focus their time on a quality shortlist of relevant candidates.

Result

  • 2 Successful Hiring Outcomes: Experienced IT Engineer and a Junior Linux Engineer was appointed.
  • HR Time Reclaimed: No CV screening, interview coordination, or reference checking, the client simply interviewed and hired.
  • Significant Cost Saving: R101,520 saved while achieving the same quality hiring outcome at a fraction of the cost of traditional contingent recruitment.
  • No Placement Fees: Ntice was paid to manage the work, not the outcome resulting in 2 hires for one fixed fee.
