CONTINGENT RECRUITMENT

Contingency recruitment is a type of recruitment service provided where the recruitment agency collects a fee from the client, only when a suitable candidate is found and starts work with the client. The fee paid to the agency is therefore contingent on the event of placing a candidate in the role the client was recruiting for.

 

Contingency recruitment is generally favoured in the following scenarios:

  • For lower level, non-business critical positions
  • Where the supply of qualified/skilled candidates out-weighs the demand for them
  • Bulk recruitment needs – to fill large numbers of positions
  • Speed to hire is more important than quality
